REVIEWS AND PRAISE

"With impeccable comic timing, this hilarious animated adaptation of Ryan T. Higgins' delightful picture book introduces Bruce, a perpetually grumpy bear...Galen Fott's animation excellently captures the elements that make Higgins' textured illustrations so humorous, building on the hilarity by adding some extra gags, such as a tree branch on which Bruce is perched breaking and a young bird squirting Bruce with paint...Be sure to let young viewers watch past the credits for the surprise ending." -- Brian Wilson, Booklist

"...Robertson Dean's deep voice perfectly captures Bruce's grumpy nature. The grainy, old-school production quality gives this DVD the feel of a time-honored classic." — Anne Bozievich, School Library Journal
